excursions Getting on the plane was both exciting and nerve-racking. I was going to Freeport Island, Bahamas, for the first time ever with my mom.
When we got to the island, we took a shuttle bus to The Crowne Plaza, which is the hotel we stayed in for the week. As soon as we got there to check in, I thought this place was extraordinary. It was very attractive and tropical, and I had never seen anything like it. All the bright and brilliant colors made the pool outside look so clear and blue that I just wanted to jump right in and cool off. But before I could do that, we had to go get settled in our room.
When I walked in, the spacious and relaxing room made me feel right at home. It was calm and quiet, yet all the new and interesting paintings were “speaking” loudly to me, and the scent of the room smell liked the fresh salt water breeze straight from the ocean.
During my whole week staying there, I went to the pool quite a bit. And I also went to the beautiful, clear, blue beach which was only a few minutes away from our hotel. Also, right across from the hotel was a downtown area which my mom and I went to alot. It had shops, restaurants, grocery stores and even a casino. My week in the Bahamas was one I won’t forget for the rest of my life, and I hope someday you get to enjoy it too.
