Introduction:
Leave the hustle of Nassau behind and take a ride on the wild side with this all-day tour to a private island in the Exuma chain. Powerboat to Allens Cay where you can feed endangered Iguanas before an exhilarating, high-speed run to your own private Bahamas island – Ship Channel Cay. The Island is two miles long and half a mile wide, with spectacular views in every direction. There’s plenty of time to explore the island or just kick back on the golden beaches. If you feel like snorkeling, there is an amazing drift snorkel, just a few meters from the shoreline. It’s just a quick splash out to the wonders of a guided snorkel as the warm current draws you over a myriad of exotic marine life, coral and tiny, fish feeding in the untouched and vibrant reefs.Try your hand at feeding local stingrays and sharks!
Grab a drink from the island bar then sit down to a banquet of delicious freshly caught island grouper, served with fresh salads, tasty breads, chargrilled steak, tropical fruit platters, chips, dips and other delights. The full bar is stocked with something for every taste, keeping you refreshed all day, and, of course… it’s all free! After lunch, take a nature tour of the island where guides will entertain you with colorful ‘tales from the bush”.
Stretch out on the white sandy beach or take a dip in the cool, turquoise waters. Numerous decks provide a place to sit, chat or just watch the world go by. The seemingly endless beach of soft white sands is gently washed by crystal clear oceans of infinite shades of blue and green. Whether it’s a romantic walk on the waters edge, a refreshing swim or just sitting in a sun lounger with your toes splashing in warm waters, it’s here. Under a giant umbrella with a cool drink and the soothing sound of waves lapping the sand, all your worries will dissolve into distant memory… Sadly, the time will come to leave Ship Channel Cay and head back to Nassau town.
