newsandinfo  Sandals Resort will rely on the quality of what they offer to get through the slowdown in the economy rather than price. The operator of the all-inclusive resort, Gordon, “Butch” Stewart said that this is a strategy the company has employed in the past and it has always worked.

“It is not all about price; it is the things you do, the reputation you build and the satisfaction for the customer,” said Stewart, “We are not sitting down and taking it easy. We are doing a lot of things from a product and marketing point of view.”

UVI, Sandals parent company, announced in May that expansions were planned for the Royal Plantation Island property in the Bahamas. These expansions would include 15 extra villas, a new spa and a beach bar.
